I apply investigative reporting skills honed throughout my 25-year career as a journalist to help hedge funds, private equity firms and private investors make high level, high impact decisions about existing positions, prospective investments, C-level candidates and other valuable strategies.
Description
I have worked for a macro hedge fund providing in-depth geopolitical analysis and commentary derived through remote and on-the-ground reporting including interviews with high-level government officials, industry heavyweights, journalists and others. My reports have been utilised to inform and influence investment strategies. My approach is a 360-degree view, exploring relevant and peripheral issues to connect dots and identify common threads that project potential outcomes.
For almost a decade, I worked as a senior researcher (contract) for Blue Heron Research Partners, a business intelligence firm with offices in London and New York. I was frequently deployed for highly sensitive and discreet projects as well as those with a tight turnaround time requiring background interviews with Chairpersons, CEO’s and high-ranking executives. These interviews provide enhanced due diligence, vetting new and existing JV partners, counterparties and senior hires.

My work for Arachnys, an anti-money laundering software firm, includes stories exploring the regulation of the illegal wildlife trade and its relation to money laundering.
