September 2018 update

September never disappoints in shifting gears from the summer slowdown to the intense ramp up before the end of the year. This time, the month was filled with interesting meetings and lively engagements. I traveled to The Hague to screen my PBS Newshour documentary about refugee entrepreneurs at a summit addressing inclusive finance investors and spoke about the role refugees can play in advancing regional economies. Then, it was Berlin for the Entrepreneurs’ Innovation Council (EIC) Summit, a EU initiative to fund innovation in Europe. There, I presented “Secrets to a Successful Story,” a workshop helping founders identify and position their stories. While we wait for the autumn chill to set in, I’m working on a few stories while preparing to speak at AllWeb in Macedonia in November, followed by the Swiss Blockchain Summit in Basel.
